The best change is a custom paint finish. This is both a complete color change and an enhancement. Dark colors are considered a custom paint because they require a special primer as a base then two to three coats of paint. Some great enhancements in a room can also be updates like painting various colors in one room bringing out a focal wall or a feature in the room.
