Limitless Limestone plaster

- Closeup of Stonework.

Cadere Matone is Italian for Break-away plaster it gives the impression of a century old wall that has gone through a long decay. In this specific project I was working for my client Sue from McKinney who wanted to have her walls like the ancient walls of Jericho. The walls tumbled down as the Jewish people walked around seven times. Great story and if you look up some pictures it looks something like this:

Breakaway plaster
Unlike most breakaway plaster walls ancient Israel and the areas around Israel they used stone for protection not just for looks. The layers of stone create a strong barrier in case of invaders. We placed the stonework on top of the smooth plaster- just in case you wondered.
In this project we wanted to be as authentic as we could and that is the reason why there is not much color variation in the stone. The plasters used are low VOC and zero VOC. The breakaway plaster is part of our Limitless Limestone finishes. The stone work was created with a heavy acrylic plaster that is rated for interior and exterior.
Here are more pictures of the project.

The walls of Jericho for today.
When choosing the right place for this great finish my suggestion is to keep this in three specific areas- Family room, kitchen, and game room. The reason is it can be a busy look and can look placed if it is all over. The plaster is perfect for archways and can be tinted to whatever color you choose as well as can be made to look like traditional stone work like bricks, limestone, and many other stones. Just show us what you want and we will create the look without the hassle of having to make your drywall capable of taking the weight of real stone.
